2004 Johannesburg CANGO Conference of NGOs in the Commonwealth Rescheduled

The Conference Organising Committee, COZY of the 2004 Johannesburg CANGO Conference of Non-Governmental Organisations in the Commonwealth, regretfully announces to inform its numerous members, partners, the international community and the general public that the Conference earlier fixed for 13th - 17th December, 2004 at Intercontinental Sandton Sun & Towers Johannesburg South Africa has been rescheduled to 2005. Actual date to be announced later.

The rescheduling is due to December congestions, logistical issues and to ensure a hugely successful and absolutely fantastic Conference you and I can be proud of. However, registration for the conference, submission of abstract papers for presentation and sponsorship and support for the conference are still on.

Meanwhile we wish to reassure already registered participants and paper presenters from around the world that their entries are still valid. Paper presenters whose papers have been selected from the current process should send in the full text of their papers  ahead of their presentation in 2005 (+ brief résumé)  to enable adequate documentation . We hereby appreciate your prompt response.

The Conference of NGOs in the Commonwealth organised by the Commonwealth Association of NGOs, CANGO, a free association of NGOs in the Commonwealth (CANGO), promises to be a monumental positioning for global development,  integration and peace. CANGO is not an arm of the Commonwealth Secretariat or the Commonwealth Foundation.

We deeply regret any inconvenience the rescheduling may have caused and look forward to your participation in the conference in 2005.
